​About Empress Theatre, Presenting Sponor​
The Empress Theatre is a historical landmark located in downtown Vallejo, California, built as a movie palace in 1911 and offers an intimate ambiance and considered "...one of the prettiest small theatres on the coast".   It was re-opened in 2008 after nearly 20 years of disuse following the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake with period-appropriate décor, two-tiered with gold-leafed clouds on the ceiling, and red velvet seats.
